Anka Raic Domain: SOCP
Group Introduction
Activist of the intangible cultural heritage community Anka Raic believes that the combination of tradition and science is an important key to preserving community pride and emphasizes the importance of carrying on tradition to many people in many ways. She founded the Federation of Folk Societies of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UHAKUD in BiH), a seminar for local communities, in 1999, which was recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Organization in 2014. In addition, by planning a project to digitize some of the ICH of the local communities, she documented the intangible cultural heritage that was in danger of being lost in history.

Currently, Ms. Raic serves as the President of the International Council of Folklore Festivals of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIOFF-BiH). Through her activities, local authorities, intangible cultural heritage bearers, folklore associations and institutions share intangible cultural heritage together, and she continues to provide intangible cultural heritage education to the new generations.

Promotion of ICH  Organizes exhibitions and performances for the local community, Holds Folk festivals, Digitalizes folk documents and archives.
International Cooperation   Participate in the annual regional meeting of ICH experts, share ICH activities and knowledge through International forums.
