Safeguarding and passing on Intangible Cultural Heritage is some of the ways of loving Jeonju City, respecting Jeonju citizens, honoring the Republic of Korea, and even the whole world. Therefore, Jeonju City has wanted to share the value of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is invisible but has lived and breathed in its long history while making the world enriching, with people in the world. Jeonju City would like to invite those who have endeavored for the constant acts of transmission and exemplary development of Intangible Cultural Heritage to the 2019 Jeonju International Awards for Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage. a. The awards shall go to the individuals or groups that practice good safeguarding practices of ICH.*
b. Or the awards shall go to the local community, administrators, NGOs or other institutions that practice the modeling development, social solidarity, and cooperation throughout the safeguarding practices of ICH.
c. Or the awards shall go to the individuals or groups that have contained international visibility by raising cultural pride of their community during transmitting of ICH.
d. Or the awards shall go to the individuals or groups that achieve exemplary outstanding performance by practicing cultural diversity through the safeguarding and transmission process of ICH.
e. The awards shall go to the individuals or groups that take the lead in good safeguarding practices of ICH in the global community regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, race, age, gender, or any other political, social, economic or cultural orientation.
* The definition of ICH: The Jeonju International Awards for Promoting IntangibleCultural Heritage adopts the definition of ICH manifested in the convention for the safeguarding of theIntangible Cultural Heritage.
a. Efficient good cases of safeguarding practices of Intangible Cultural Heritage and of activating the power and its significance for the future development of the global community as well as for social cohesion, cooperation, and visibility of identity.
b. A good example that has made a significant contribution to the viability the Intangible Cultural Heritage is concerned.

- Optional: pamphlets/ 10-15 minute video clips/ journal articles
b. Candidate Recommender's Qualification : Representatives or experts belonging to reliable institutions/organizations related to the fields of ICH. * Not accepted the recommendation by family or the subject.
